Early Thursday, a group of developers released iNdependence 1.4 beta 2. The new version, a 2.5 megabyte download, allows users to perform tasks such as iPhone jailbreaking, activation, SSH installation and ringtone/wallpaper/application installation. The new version makes no changes to the code from the first beta, but adds Mac OS X 10.4.x compatibility. iNdependence 1.4 beta 2 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to install and run.
