.Mac | Connect to a Public iDisk Folder

To access a file that someone has shared on there public iDisk folder you need:

- a web browser(ie, firefox etc)
- a .Mac membername

Step One
Obtain the .Mac membername from whomever's iDisk you are trying to access.

Step Two
Open your web browser and navigate to the following address:
http://idisk.mac.com/membername-Public

Replace 'membername' with the actual membername.

Step Three
If their Public folder is protected, enter a name of "public" and public password (which is provided to you by the .Mac member). You need to know the member's public password in order to read from or write to the folder.
