Safari Plug In

iPhone hacker hachu has created probably one of the coolest hacks yet. He has developed a download plug-in for MobileSafari that allows you to download data straight off the internet directly to your iPhone or iPod touch. It stores the files in the local disk in the /var/root/Downloads folder.Once you download the package, you can set it to download specific file types (such as MP3s, for example), which will then download to your device. In conjunction with this, Erica Sadun has modified her SedFile app to search ~/Downloads as well as ~/Media/Documents, allowing you to email, chare and play back the downloaded media on demand. You can download hachu's plugin and read what to do with it here, and Erica's modified modded SedFile app here.
