The first publicly available jailbreak solution for iPhone Software v1.1.4 has been released. iNdependence version 1.4 Beta 5 will jailbreak and unlock the latest iPhone software update, allowing users to install third party applications. Although the jailbreak is quick and effective, it does not currently add Installer.app. We advise novice users to wait for a more complete solution.
The latest beta includes a full SIM unlock, as well as the following changes:
-Added SIM unlocking on firmware 1.1.4 (using gunlock)
- Changed the SIM unlock warning to reflect new information with regard to IPSF-based unlocking
- Made it so that iNdependence automatically removes old versions of the RAM disks it creates
- Changed the credits for the RAM disk jailbreak method
- Updated the documentation for the new SSH removal dialog
You can download the new version at their Google Code page here.
