Tooble Downloads YouTube Videos to iTunes

Gridlock LLC announced the immediate avilability of Tooble at Macworld. The Leopard ready application downloads YouTube videos, converts them to MP4 and imports them to iTunes, ready for syncing with video iPods, iPhones, or Apple TVs. "Tooble is different from other flash video download applications because it takes advantage of Google's gData and the YouTube API to communicate directly with YouTube. That being the case, in addition to being able to browse and search the general YouTube catalog tooble also gives users access to Favorites saved in a YouTube Account," Gridlock said. Tooble is free, and the version that downloads only from YouTube will always be free, according to Tooble's Bill Piedra. Later this year, Gridlock's business model will evolve as it introduces a commercial version of the software that will similarly download from other sites.

Tooble requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
