New iPhone Firmware Exploits

Are you guys ready? Here it comes! GeoHotz was developed some new exploits on the new out of the box 1.1.2 iPhone Firmware. What does that mean? First, we will either have a hardware or a software unlock in the near future. I hope its a software unlock so the warranty does not have to be voided. Please do not try to do any of this on your own this is all theoretical, unless you really understand the inner structure.

For the Hardware Unlock GeoHotz says, " The version check reads from 0xA0021000 and 0xA0021004 to get the version of the main firmware. It then compares the values [0xA0021000]==~[0xA0021004]. If that check fails it ignores the version check. It is also the only bootloader access into high flash. So when A16 goes high, pull any data line high or low. That will cause the check to fail, and hence the version check to be skipped. And they shouldn't be any memory accesses in the bootloader, so it'll be fine."

For the software Unlock GeoHotz says," This exploit is in the the way the secpack signature is padded. They did a lot to remove the really bad signature checking of the old bootloader that IPSF exploited. Although the secpack still has 0x28 bytes of data at the end that isn't checked for normal secpack sigs. The secpack sig is(0x30 header/padding, 0x14 main fw sha, 0x14 secpack sha, 0x28 unchecked padding) So by spoofing the first 0x58 of the RSA, you can set any secpack and main fw sha hash you want. It is very easy in exponent 3 RSA cryptosystems to spoof the first 1/3 of the message bytes. I believe with some clever math and brute force, the whole 0x58 can be spoofed."

If theres any people with ideas, email me and ill pass on the message or you can hit GeoHotz at this JtaG Blogggggg. If not, you can check out cool things like free ringtones, ripping DVDs, unlocking all firmware (including 1.1.2 on already unlocked phones) and much much more. Just check out the blog archive or the site map. To keeps this site running at the pace it is running, i need you guys to donate some money because it is getting harder and harder. I get requests all day long, and i fulfill all of them, but the total donations for this current week was 0, yes ZERO. So please if you find this site usefull please contribute. Thanx :)

Resemblance Anyone?

Apple threatened, wreak havoc on modified iPhones. Some phones have indeed been “bricked.” In others, unofficial applications have been disabled. And there are worries that hacking the updated phone will be harder. The result: Serious hackers will keep finding new ways to break in. Less technically inclined may well find themselves chastened into technological submission, assuming they can get their pricey toys to work at all. Will Apple really refuse to help people with iBricks? Speaking in London last week, Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, said the company is in a “cat and mouse” game with hackers. “People will try to break in, and it’s our job to stop them breaking in,” he said. This caused a scurry by hackers to develop software that will relock iPhones before software updates. It’s like kids at the slumber party turning out the lights and jumping under the covers each time mom thumps up the stairs.Since the iPhone is a very sleek, capable handheld computer, people are going to want to run programs on it. They are going to want to hack and see what they can build. It’s a law of nature. And Apple might as well be fighting gravity. Apple essentially has two choices. Either it exposes most of the iPhone’s capabilities to developers. Or it will have to gird for an ever escalating war in which it will have to send ever more electronic brick-bombs to its best customers who don’t follow its strict rules.

AT&T:Takin' Over One Feature At a Time :)

A while back AT&T enabled iPhone owners to edit their service plans online to exclude EDGE data service from their plans, carving out a good $20 from their monthly fees. While it looks like no more customers will be able to remove EDGE from their wireless plans. But who knows maybe its just a glitch on the website. Time will tell ALL.

3G AT&T iPhone 2008?

While at a meeting of the Churchill Club in Santa Clara, California, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson made the claim that Apple will be releasing the new 3G iPhone some time next year, and will run on their network. The new 3G device will offer significantly faster wireless internet download speeds than the current EDGE (2G) iPhones."You'll have it next year,'' Stephenson said in response to a question about when the 3G iPhone would debut. He said he didn't know how much more the new version will cost than the existing model, which sells for $399. Apple Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs "will dictate what the price of the phone is,'' he said.

How to Regain Battery on Unlocked iPhone

So you've just finished hacking your iPhone and installed every application you could find, but what the heck happened to your battery life? In the process of installing various things, you've likely installed OpenSSH, the tool which allows remote login to your iPhone from a computer. The problem is, SSH requires that a listener called SSHD constantly runs, waiting for a remote login attempt. This in turn drains your battery. The solution is to disable SSHD when you don't need it. Read on for the how-to.For most seasoned iPhone hackers, disabling SSHD is a piece of cake. Unfortunately, it's not very easy or convenient. Instead, us mortals need a simple tool.

In this guide, I'm assuming that you've installed Nullriver's Installer.app and OpenSSH from your iPhone's Installer Icon. Here's how it's done:

  1. From Installer.app, download Community Sources if you haven't already.

  2. Under Utilities in Installer.app, install Services

  3. Go back to the home screen and wait for the iPhone to reload the Springboard. Slide to unlock and launch Services.

  4. From Services, shut SSH off.

Refining What We Call the Digital Lifestyle

iMac, iPod, and now iPhone. The names have become synonymous with pop culture in the 21st century. And they all belong to one company: Apple. Apple products are pushing and refining what we call the digital lifestyle. From music, to movies, to communications, for better or worse, Apple is the trendsetter for the tech industry. Here at the iPhone and iTouch Hack Blog, we'll offer you 24-hour coverage of Apple News, Rumors, and Hacks. Stop back soon to find out more...

New Feature for the iPhone/iTouch?

The iPhone currently implements its own version of the Google Maps for Mobile service, but does not make use of the "My Location" service. There hasn't been any official word from Google or Apple on whether the iPhone will implement the technology in a future update. Because the service supposedly works on almost any cellular enabled handset, the feature will likely be easy to add via a software update. Apple has stated that it will continue to add features to the iPhone over time.

Apple Has Taken Over The Industry

  1. The iPhone hits France tonight and the countdown has begun.According to France Telecom, the launch will occur via late-night/midnight openings at 12 of its Orange wireless locations. The carrier has stated that it will change between 49 and 119 euros (approximately US$49 to $175)per month and 399 for the iPhone itself. Orange also announced that it will offer the iPhone at 549 euros for customers who don't want to use one of the four "Orange for iPhone" plans and 649 euros to purchase the iPhone without a plan. The firm will charge a 100 euro fee for unlocking the iPhone from France Telecom during the six months following the launch of the iPhone.France is required by law to sell locked and unlocked Phones. Apple is not special. So how exclusive is AT&T now with legit unlocked iPhones on the market?
  2. Analyst Richard Windsor of Nomura predicts that Apple will attempt to defend it's territory against Nokia for intellectual property rights over the iPhone's touchscreen interface. Apple claims to have filed around 200 patents on the interface, and it is suspected that they will take Nokia to court to stop them from doing so.
"I think Apple will likely view Nokia as infringing on its user interface patents," said London-based Nomura analyst Richard Windsor Wednesday. "But I don't see this being the same scale of (the) legal battle Nokia has with Qualcomm Inc. ," Windsor said.
However, he finds it even more likely that they will settle out of court, probably some time around 2009. Either way, Nokia's plans to update their s90 series with touch sensitivity in 2008 will most likely be delayed due to the legal issues.

To Pay or Not To Pay?

As you all know, The iPhone and iTouch Firmware Unlock Blog provides all the required software and guides to unlock iPhones for FREE. I thought it would be proper to let people know what options they have as far as unlocking the iPhone and iTouch. I did not want people to think that using guides and softwares was the only way to unlock an iPhone. You have 3 options when it comes to hacking/unlocking an iPhone. Hackers, Sites like this one and bought softwares that range anywhere from $59 to $99 per use. Below is a more detailed but not absolute short description of all 3 options.

  1. Hire a hacker.

  2. Exploit a site like this one ( for an appreciated but not required donation )

  3. Buy a lisense from a distributor

Now, i want to go over all three options:

  • Your first option is to hire a hacker to unlock your phone, what happens? Well, the hacker unlocks the iPhone, charges you a substantial amount and tells you if you have any problems to contact him/her for further services and repairs. Now you are stuck with him/her to fix your iPhone because now you are insecure and you know his/her method works and you do not want to mess up your phone. Now everytime your iPhone freezes or has a glitch you don't want to pay another substantial amount of money so you call and try to get some free advice. It is provided to you once, so you decide it's cool with him/her and you do it again, so before you know it, they ignore your calls and you are stuck with finding another hacker because you can't imagine giving your precious iPhone to an inexperiences wannabe. Now, just to make things clear, hacking the iphone and the itouch is a new thing. So everyone is an ammature. The only hacker is the guides and software provided to hack the iPhone or the iTouch, after that everyone is a "hacker".

  • Now you have your second option. A site like The iPhone and iTouch Firmware Unlock Blog :) Information about hacking, unlocking, fixing and much more is thrown around the internet like the splatter theory. Whats the splatter theory? Well, it works for many things but lets just say if you throw enough sh*t on a wall some of it will stick. So it stuck here. You will find ABSOLUTELY ALL THE INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED TO UNLOCK YOU IPHONE OR ITOUCH and keep it going even if you lock it or even brick it. No need to go anywhere else. No need to pay anyone. And now you don't have to be afraid to come back, we won't bite :). All software and guides are FREE. We do not ask for money ,if you can donate, please do. If you enjoy the world of 3rd party applications and sites like this one, then please donate so we can provide some more.

  • Your third option is to go and do something like buying a lisense from a re-seller of a software called iPhonesimFree. The software does the same exact thing as jailbreakme.com and AnySim. Except they charge for it and only provide a lisense for the current firmware. To break this down a little more. If you have 1.0.2 and you bought the software from a re-seller for $59 to $99 and unlocked your iPhone, if a new firmware comes out like 1.1.1, you would need to buy it again. Cool Huh? They provide 24/7 Customer support. If anyone is interested their pricing is avaliable upon request.

Now you know ALL the options you have. Take your pick and Keep coming back!

We provide this information for free to support you, now we need your support. You can click the donate button on the right and show us your support. Now please read below for
Frequently asked Questions:

  1. Nothing happens after i visit jailbreakme.com
If you visit jailbreakme.com, install AppSnapp, get thrown back to the activtion screen and you have waited more then 3-5 minutes but phone does not restart - try restarting your phone manually. If phone starts normally everything is fine. If you still only get to the activation screen it did not work. Usually this is because there is a problem on the server, or maybe your internet connection. Wait some time (a few minutes if you are impatient, or a few hour if you want to be sure) and try again.

  2. How can i upgrade a new unactivated phone? Just put in recovery mode, and it will automatically restore to the latest firmware. It might be safer to manually download and select the 1.1.1 firmware.

  3. How should i upgrade or restore my phone?
To enter recovery mode, connect the phone to the computer and press and hold the Power button (on top) and the Home button (on bottom front) simultaneously. After about 15 seconds phone will appear to turn off, release the Power button but keep holding the Home button. After about 15 seconds the computer and iTunes will detect the phone in recovery mode, and you can perform a restore. IMPORTANT: If you just click the restore button, it will restore it with the latest firmware. It's much safer to manually select firmware instead. If you want to manually select a different firmware you can hold down SHIFT key (Windows) or Option/ALT-key (Mac) when clicking the Restore button, and it will let you choose firmware file. Download the wanted firmware below at the bottom of the page or look to the right and find firmware updates(you would normally want 1.1.1).

  4. My phone is already unlocked - can i update to 1.1.1?
Not straight away! The old unlock software's (before anySIM 1.1, except iphonesimfree.com's software) had serious flaws, making the phone unusable in later firmware. Before you update your phone you will need to repair your phone by "virginizing" the phone (baseband) firmware

  5. Ignore all long and complex tutorials - I have set up a fully automatic script that will repair the phone so that you can upgrade it.
Set Settings → General → Auto Lock → Never Make sure Modem firmware is 03.14.08_G. Check this in Settings → General → About. Start Installer and update it if it asks. Tap on Sources, Edit, and Add http://i.unlock.no/ as a repository. Make sure you have BSD Subsystem installed, if not, go to System category and install it. Now, install The Virginizer found in the Unlocking Tools category. This will take about 3-5 minutes to complete. Only use if you never updated to 1.1.1 before! (that means, only use if your Modem firmware is 03.14.08_G. Check this in Settings → General → About).

  6. How to "Virginize" if you already upgraded and have 04.01.13_G.
You would want to do this if you upgraded to 1.1.1, and now have 0049xxx IMEI, and Modem version 04.01.13_G. Check this in Settings → General → About. Set Settings → General → Auto Lock → Never Install BSD SubSystem found in System Category. Go to Sources and tap edit and add http://i.unlock.no/ (if you haven't already). Now install "Virginize 04.x" found in Unlocking Tools category. This will take almost 10 minutes. When done, restore your phone to get 1.1.1 firmware reinstalled. When phone have been restored, you can Activate and unlock as normal.

  7. How do i downgrade a 1.1.2 phone? At the moment this is NOT possible if your phone already had 1.1.2 when you bought it

  8. YouTube is not working
If YouTube does not work ("You must first connect to iTunes..."), try to install YouTube activation which is found in the Unlocking tools-category after you have added my repository (see previous question)

  9. Is the unlock permanent? Can i restore my phone or upgrade it?
This unlock method is based on a firmware patch, so everytime the baseband firmware is flashed, the unlock not work anymore. You should be able to restore without loosing the unlock, and you should also be able to upgrade to future firmwares as long as the baseband firmware is not updated, but never perform a software update before you have specifically read that updating is safe.

Custom ringtones ( Windows Xp)

The iPhone and iTouch Firmware Unlock provides you with: Custom ringtones ( Windows Xp).
What I used: iPhone on 1.1.2 firmware Yes custom ringtones are back, for now. Thanks to the iDemocracy 2.0, Windows users now have an unbelievably simple way to add their own ringtones to the iPhone. You can read more about this program here. Attention I'm assuming you've jailbroken/activated and installed Installer and/or SSH on your iPhone already. If not, then go down the page and find the 1.1.2 unlock , or go to the right side of the blog and find unlocking guide for 1.1.2

  1. Download iDemocracy 2 here. Decompress the download file, read the read me (especially the part about installing the Microsoft Dot Net Framework version 3.0), and launch the program. Click the Media Manager button.

  2. Make sure you are in the Ringtones tab. Next enter your IPhone's IP address in the box where I have entered mine (in this case 10.0.1.5). When you have added files you will want to click the Refresh Ringtones button, but for now you don't need to. To upload a ringtone click the + button.

  3. A file browser window will open. Navigate to your ringtone (which must be in AAC format - you can use iTunes to convert it from mp3), select it, and click Open.

  5. The ringtone will now appear in your list in the Ringtones tab.

  6. Check your ringtone menu. ( iPhone Menu)

1.1.2 firmware Hack.(intel / PPC Mac)

The iPhone and iTouch Firmware Unlock provides you with:1.1.2 firmware Hack.(intel / PPC Mac). What was used: unlocked (anySIM 1.1) iPhone with 1.1.1 firmware and 04.01.13_G modem, bootloader 3.9_M3S2, iTunes 7.5, and OS X (10.5) What will also work: If you are on 1.0.2 firmware, and used anySIM prior to version 1.1, then repair your baseband and upgrade directly to 1.1.2 . There are also scripts on the Installer repository that automate this process. I may at some point create a simpler guide for this process. If you are on 1.0.2 firmware and used anySIM 1.1 and then update to 1.1.2 What will NOT work: ANY newly purchased iPhone with 1.1.2 firmware on it, because it will have the new 4.06 bootloader. Thanks to the iPhone Dev Team (drudge, dinopio, roxfan) and the iPhone Touch Dev Team, and Mark because of them the entire iPhone community can now benefit from the latest jailbreak process to install 1.1.2 firmware. Please donate anything you can. All of the donations will go them at this point, due to lack of a hack for a new out of the box 1.1.2 iPhone.

  1. For those of you who have owned an iPhone prior to November 9th (or 4th and 5th digits of the serial number being lower than 45), then you can skip this step. If you don't otherwise know any better, you might want to verify what bootloader you have on your iPhone right now. First you will need to have bbupdater installed in your /usr/bin folder. I will not provide this file. Google for it, or check the usual forums. Use the Terminal to login to the iPhone via SSH. Enter the following commands: launchctl remove com.apple.CommCenter bbupdater -v Your results better match as far as the bootloader is concerned. If they don't, then DO NOT proceed!

  2. When you are done checking, restart your iPhone.

  3. Restore the iPhone to 1.1.2 firmware by putting the iPhone into DFU mode. Do this by pressing and holding the Home button, and the Sleep/Wake button.

  4. As soon as the screen goes black, let go of the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button. Connect the iPhone to iTunes and you will get this pop up. The iPhone will display this graphic.

  5. Click the Restore button

  6. Various messages will appear while the process continues.

  7. The iPhone will restart, and iTunes will display this image.

  8. The iPhone will display the new multi-lingual emergency slider and connect to iTunes graphic. You are now on 1.1.2 firmware with the new 04.02.13_G modem firmwware

  9. Downgrade to 1.0.2 firmware. You need to put the iPhone into DFU mode again. It may take a couple tries to do this but it can be done. Once in this mode, iTunes will display the recovery mode graphic. The iPhone will display this graphic again. Note: Many have said they get a pop up from iTunes indicating an Error 1 message. The solution is to put the iPhone into DFU mode and try again.

  10. Option click the Restore button in iTunes.

  11. Navigate to the 1.0.2 ipsw file on your computer and select Open. If you do not already have the 1.0.2 firmware file you can download it here. Do not decompress this file or allow your browser to decompress it.

  12. Various messages will appear while the process continues.

  13. You will then get an error 1013 message. Click OK.

  14. The recovery mode pop up will appear again. Click OK. You should see a yellow triangle graphic on the iPhone asking you to connect to iTunes.

  15. Eject the iPhone from iTunes and close iTunes

  16. Download iNdependence 1.3 Beta 2 here. Launch iNdependence. It will get the iPhone out of recovery mode, and send it to the activate iPhone screen.

  17. Take the 1.0.2 firmware file you downloaded earlier and duplicate it. Decompress the duplicate somewhere on your computer. Back in iNdependence click the Activate Phone button. A file browser window will open. Navigate to where you decompressed the 1.0.2 firmware file and click Open.

  19. Now press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the power off slider appears and then shut down the iPhone. Then turn it back on.

  20. A success message will appear.

  21. Your iPhone should now let you in to the SpringBoard. At this point my Cingular SIM worked. I then verified I was on 1.0.2 firmware with the 04.02.13_G modem from 1.1.2 still. Just press Settings, General, About.

  22. Back in iNdependence, click the SSH tab and click the Install SSH/SFTP/SCP button.

  24. A similar screen will appear. Do it all over again.

  25. Click OK at the success pop up.

Then enter your password and press Join to connect to your network. Then press the blue arrow button next to your network name to get to the Wi-Fi settings screen. Write down your IP address.

  28. Go back to the Settings screen, then press General, Auto-Lock, and Never.

  31. Click Contents, Resources, then drag the Installer.app file to your desktop

  32. You should now see an icon.

  33. Download Fugu here. If you don't know how to use Fugu. Login to the iPhone (your password is either dottie or alpine) and go to the /Applications folder. Drag the Installer.app into this folder. Make sure you aren't placing it within another existing application's folder.

  34. Restart the iPhone and the Installer icon should be on the SpringBoard.

  35. Launch Installer and you should hear an audio chime. This means you need to update Installer in this particular case. You should be on the Update page, with Installer being the only item on that page. Press it. Then press Update at the next screen.

  36. Now press Yes. Press OK and press the Home button to relaunch the SpringBoard.

  37. You'll notice the Installer icon has changed. Launch the Installer. Press the Install icon and scroll down the list of folders to the Sources folder. Press it. Press Community Sources and install it. When it finishes it will send you back to the list of folders.

  42. Launch Fugu and upload the anySIM.app to the /Applications folder. Make sure you are not putting this into an already existing application's folder. Just right click the anySIM.app folder and make it executable in the pop up window if you have to.

  43. You might also want to click into the anySIM.app folder and verify that the anySIM program has the same permissions set. It should by default, and you shouldn't have to do anything.

  45. Launch anySIM. Press OK. Slide to unlock.

  48. At this point you should check your SIM(s) and make sure they call out and receive. You are unlocked at this point if they do. You could stop at this point and stay on 1.0.2 firmware, if you wanted. My T-Mobile SIM worked at this point.

  49. Download the 1.1.1 iPhone firmware file here. Do not decompress this file or allow your browser to decompress it. Launch iTunes. If you get this pop up, make sure you click Don't Install.

You will know when it is working if you see this message in the bottom of iNdependence with the spinning wheel graphic. If it does not work then a guaranteed remedy is to restore 1.1.1 again. I've witnessed this twice now.

  58. You should now see a world graphic on the iPhone with " Activate iPhone and connect iTunes.

  59. A message that will now display at the bottom of iNdependence Close iNdependence.

  87. This is the 1.1.2 jailbreak program. Make sure you check the box for installing SSH (if you want SSH installed on your iPhone). You could add this later with the Installer. When you are ready, click the Jailbreak! button.

  88. A pop up will appear with a status bar. It will take about 6 minutes to read, patch and write data back to the iPhone.

  91. Test your SIM(s), YouTube, iTunes Music Store, et cetera, et cetera. You can verify your iPhone's status by pressing Settings, General, and About.

Attention - iPhone owners in "non-supported" countries.

  1. If you use an iPhone in a country where the iPhone is not for sale, you will have a problem with the phone (MobilePhone.app) and with SMS (MobileSMS.app) crashing when you try to call/send to someone. This is specific to 1.1.2 firmware. I live in America, so I don't have this problem. More importantly, I can't test the solution I am about to present to you. This is a challenge that you, the reader, must take on. Launch the Installer program. Press the Install icon at the bottom. Scroll down the list of folders to Tweaks (1.1.2) and press it. Next install iWorld.

  2. Now select your country from the list and hope for the best. If you still have issues, I recommend the usual modding forums like Hackint0sh.org.

1.1.2 firmware Hack. (windows xp/vista)

The iPhone and iTouch Firmware Unlock provides you with:1.1.2 firmware Hack. (windows xp/vista)

Step 1: Updating, downgrading, unlocking. What I used: unlocked (anySIM 1.1) iPhone with 1.1.1 firmware and 04.01.13_G modem, bootloader 3.9_M3S2, and iTunes 7.5.0.20 What will also work: If you are on 1.0.2 firmware, and used anySIM prior to version 1.1, then repair your baseband and upgrade directly to 1.1.2 .There are also scripts on the Installer repository that automate this process. I may at some point create a simpler guide for this process. If you are on 1.0.2 firmware and used anySIM 1.1, and then update to 1.1.2 What will NOT work: ANY newly purchased iPhone with 1.1.2 firmware on it, because it will have the new 4.06 bootloader. Thanks to the iPhone Dev Team (drudge, dinopio, roxfan) , the iPhone Touch Dev Team and Mark, the entire iPhone community can now benefit from the latest jailbreak process to install 1.1.2 firmware. Every Donation from this site will be given to them at this point.(Windows XP / Vista)

  1. For those of you who have owned an iPhone prior to November 9th, then you can skip this step. If you don't otherwise know any better, you might want to verify what bootloader you have on your iPhone right now. First you will need to have bbupdater installed in your /usr/bin folder. I will not provide this file. Google for it, or check the usual forums. Download PuTTY here. This is a command line program for talking to the iPhone via SSH. Get your iPhone's IP address. Press Home, Settings, Wi-Fi, select your network name and press the blue arrow to the right of it. It will take you to a screen with your network addresses in it. In my case mine is 10.0.1.6. Launch PuTTY. Enter your IP address in the Host Name (or IP address) field. Click Open.

  2. Another window will open. You'll be asked to login as. Enter root. You'll then be prompted for your password. Enter dottie. If that doesn't work then try alpine. Next enter: launchctl remove com.apple.CommCenter Enter: bbupdater -v **** If your results do no match. DO NOT PROCEED! BE PATIENT)

  1. Remove the iPhone from the box and put the SIM you want to use in it now. (Some have said they had better luck when not putting in the SIM they ultimately wanted to use until after they had successfully unlocked with anySIM.)

  2. Turn on the iPhone and confirm you have 1.1.1 firmware on it. Don't know how to confirm it is 1.1.1 out of the box? Simple. At the activate screen, slide the emergency call slider. You are now at the emergency call key pad. Enter the following into the keypad: *3001#12345#* then press Call.

  1. You will now have access to the SpringBoard. Note my iPhone says AT&T at the top because I used a Cingular SIM card to do this with. At this point I can use the phone to make and receive calls without unlocking. I'm going to put my T-Mobile SIM in the iPhone for the rest of the instructions.

Many have said YouTube doesn't work, many have said it does. Many have said restoring the iPhone again to 1.1.1 and repeating this process makes YouTube work. I'll cover how to fix YouTube via Fugu and WinSCP in another tutorial. The iTunes Music Store should work just fine. If you used an AT&T compatible SIM you should be able make and receive calls at this point. If you want to confirm what firmwares are on your iPhone press "Settings", "General", "About" and check the "Version" and the "Modem Firmware" entries. The next step is to use the Installer program to install Community Sources, BSD Subsystem and and add anySIM's webhoster to the list of trusted sources so that you can install that program as well.

  10. Press the Install button on the top right corner. Press Install again if you dare...

  11. If you set your auto-lock earlier like I told you to then you can just press OK here and not worry about this.

  12. Press the Home button to relaunch the SpringBoard. You need to do this after every application you install. You should now see the anySIM application icon.

  13. Press OK. Then slide to unlock...

  14. Read the next screen or don't. Scroll down to the bottom and press the big red button.
