AT&T to Integrate iPhone With Internet TV and VOIP



AT&T is planning to integrate the iPhone into its U-verse suite of Internet television and VoIP services, according to a Reuters report. This will include adding features such as using the iPhone as a remote control.

At an event on Monday AT&T showcased recently developed technologies that will be marketed in the future.

We're looking at the whole landscape, of what people use, and what's out there in the home," said AT&T Chief Technology Officer John Donovan, indicating that some of the services may be launched by the years end.

Examples Services
- Listen to voice mails on your screen
- Download shows from your DVR onto your iPhone.
- Use iPhone to navigate channels like a normal remote control
- Virtually hurling tomatoes at the TV screen using iPhone applications.
