MacFamilyTree 5.2 Public Beta Debuts With 3D

MacFamilyTree 5.2 Beta 1 is available for download. This latest prerelease of the next huge update for MacFamilyTree 5 introduces the brand-new »Virtual Tree« to display your entire family tree in all its complexity. With our Virtual Tree, you can freely navigate your complete database in 3D. It's the perfect tool to analyze families, generations and different branches within your kinship – alternate coloring schemes help you intuitively distinguish age, date of birth or sex.
Additionally, MacFamilyTree 5.2 Beta 1 has been vastly enhanced when it comes to navigating and editing families – directly from within a person's Edit Mode. We have also significantly improved the speed of GEDCOM import. Furthermore, minor enhancements include an additional »Age« column for the Person Event pane, also, Genograms now order Children and Events chronologically.

Subsequent updates within the 5.2 Public Beta cylce will be published frequently, the final version 5.2 should be available by late June/early July.

This update is free for all owners of MacFamilyTree 5. Upgrades from all previous versions (version 1, 2, 3 and 4) of MacFamilyTree are available for $25 USD. For customers who purchased MacFamilyTree 4 on, or after August 14th, 2007 the upgrade to MacFamilyTree 5 is free. MacFamilyTree 5 can be purchased for $49 USD as a full product.
