Toast 9 Gains Media Streaming To iPhone

Roxio's Toast Titanium application for the Mac has been one of the best apps out there for creating media, and now they're taking it to the next level. They've moved past the initial disc-burning functionality to include several new features, including camcorder video conversion, Blu-ray disc creation, and a new feature that can stream video to the iPhone/ iPod touch.

Among the list of new features is support for AVCHD camcorder video conversion, which will let you compress videos recorded from camcorders. It also has gained the ability to create Blu-ray and HD-DVD discs, support for automatic tagging of unknown audio tracks with their "audio fingerprint," and internet audio stream recording. Lastly and most interestingly is the new Roxio Streamer, which lets you stream from your Mac to "your Wi-Fi connected iPhone, iPod Touch or to any Internet connected Mac or PC."

Support for CD/DVD burning and TiVo are still included, of course.

Toast 9 is US$99.99, and previously registered users are eligible for a $20 mail-in rebate. You can learn more about Roxio Titanium 9 or download your copy from their website.
