iPhone 2.0 To Include Wireless .Mac Syncing?

As soon as the iPhone SDK Beta 2 came out, people immediately started digging to see what they could find. Turns out that one of the items found leads us to believe that Apple may plan to implement wireless .Mac syncing in the 2.0 iPhone update. A preference bundle found within the latest SDK seed contains the string "Syncing with this Dot Mac account will turn off syncing for other Dot Mac accounts and delete any existing synced data.". The preference bundle is new with this latest seed and isn't present in any other version of the iPhone's software.

I haven't been able to find any more evidence to support our suspicion, although it seems clear that Apple is planning something more for .Mac and the iPhone.

In case you'd like to dig around and check it out for yourself, the "MobileWirelessSyncSettings.bundle" folder can be found in the /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator2.0.sdk/System /Library/PreferenceBundles/AccountSettings directory after you've installed the latest SDK seed.

Other additions noted thus far are a YouTube Safari plugin found in the /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator2.0.sdk/System/Library/Internet Plug-Ins directory and what seems to be a new decoder, "H264M2.videodecoder" found in /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.0.sdk/System/Library/VideoDecoders.
If you manage to find any further items of interest in the SDK, let us know!
