Apparently the predictions were correct. That's right, it's here. Early this morning Apple announced the new 16GB iPhone for $499. They also unveiled a new 32GB iPod touch for $499. It looks like the predictions that the falling price of flash memory would lead to a bigger iPhone weren't too far off.
