iPhone vs Nokia

There's been a lot of fuss about upcoming 3G technology for the iPhone as of late. Apple got a good deal of criticism for sticking with EDGE, but is the iPhone really that far behind when it comes to the competition? The author of a German blog posted a video of the iPhone going head to head with a Nokia E61i (3G) in a test of web page loading speeds to see how the iPhone compares to a standard 3G device in terms of web browsing.
The results might surprise you. Despite the difference in networks, the difference in load speeds of the two devices was not all that big. Apparently what the iPhone lacks in hardware and network, it makes up for in rendering speeds. It looks like when Apple said that the iPhone's Safari browser was the most advanced browser ever on a portable device, they meant it.
